Scar Management & Removal Treatment

Unwanted scars can be treated both surgically and non surgically. Dr. Martini will assess the patient to determine which treatments best meet the needs of each patient. Deep or severe scarring may require surgical removal with precise realignment of tissue. This can be comfortably done with local anesthesia or possibly sedation.

Frequently, laser and intense pulsed light, or injection therapy in a medical setting is effective. As with other conditions regarding appearance, several modalities may be combined for optimal outcome. Many types of scars can benefit from treatment including: acne scarring, surgical wounds, healed traumatic wounds and stretch marks.
